Webb enthused for Tuesday bullpen session
The closer Brandon Webb gets to throwing his first bullpen session, scheduled for Tuesday, the more excited he’s seems to get.
“I’m excited to get back on the bump,” he said. “I actually watched a couple of videos -- I was watching my mechanics and stuff last night. It was from ’08, I just found it on our web site. I was watching all those games. I’m ready to go.”
Webb, who is recovering from August shoulder surgery, threw another flatground session at Chase Field this morning and came away feeling good. He says he’s pain-free.

“It’s kind of a sticky situation,” he said. “I don’t really want ...

What an extension might look like for Mark Reynolds
We’ve heard there is some mutual interest from the Diamondbacks and third baseman Mark Reynolds in working out a contract extension and that the club is expected to make an offer sometime before spring training.

Reynolds still is a year away from becoming eligible for arbitration for the first time, so his salary for 2010 will be club-controlled, i.e., in the $500,000 range. So if they did a three-year deal this off-season (2010-12), it would cover two arbitration ...
